Adam Jesse "Coco" Gutierrez Flores, 61, died at 8:07 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024 along with his wife, Deanna Marie (Thompson) Flores.
He was born Dec. 28,1962 to Ricardo and Guadalupe (Gutierrez) Flores in Lubbock, Texas.
He married Deanna Jan. 10, 2011 and loved her with all his heart.
He had lived in Liberal for more than 30 years and was well-known within the community.
He was known as the best cook. He loved to joke around, especially with family and friends.
He adored his wife, pets and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He always went above and beyond for the ones he loved and others around him. Never knowing a stranger, he was instantly friends with everyone he knew.
Survivors include his sister-in-law (aka mom), Eva Zepeda; brothers: Santos Flores, Juan (Cheryl) Flores, Raymond Flores, Alexander Flores, and Jose (Becky) Zepeda; sisters: Juanita (Jose) Betancourt, Susan Valdez and Irma (Scott) May; 15 nephews; five nieces; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Trinidad Zepeda and Robert Flores.
• There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place.
Private family memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2024 at the La Primera Bautista Hispania Church at 122 Wilson Street in Liberal.
