Vaughn Edward “Bone” Delaney, 61, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024 in Amarillo, Texas.
He was born Sept. 15, 1963 to Raymond and Nila (Waln) Delaney.
He married Mary JoAnn Phillips Feb. 14, 1998. She survives.
He was a fun-loving man with a vivacious spirit, known for his vibrant personality and the joy he brought to those around him. He adored his children, grandchildren, and great grandchild, often teasing family and friends, making every moment spent together an occasion for laughter.
He had a variety of interests that filled his days, including gardening, fishing, and hunting.
Survivors also include his mother; three sons: Brandon Williams and wife, Evelyne, Arkansas City, Anthony Williams, Borger, Texas, and Christopher Williams, the Philippines; daughter, Kendra Williams, Indiana; brothers, Raymond Delaney Jr., Barstow, Calif., and John Delaney, Barstow, Calif.; sister, Nancy Fjield-Delaney, Barstow, Calif.; mother-in-law, Mary Phillips, Hugoton; brother-in-law, Martin Phillips and wife, Sherry, Hugoton; sisters-in-law, Neva Leonard and husband, Michael, Liberal, and Sandra Strickland and husband Aaron, Borger, Texas; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Pearl; brother, Wayne; and father-in-law, Stanley Phillips.
• Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2024 at the Assembly of God Church in Hugoton.
Burial will follow at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024 at Robson Funeral Home in Hugoton.
