Gregory Gaskill, 72, died Friday, Dec. 27, 2024.
He was born August 22, 1952 to May and Gerald Gaskill.
He served his country in the armed forces.
He married Janie Mothes Aug. 29, 1975. She survives.
He was most fulfilled when he was surrounded by his family. From the sidelines to the backyard, he was a constant, always cheering on his children and grandchildren to be their best.
His adventurous spirit continued throughout his life, and he was always up for the next trip with his family from scuba diving in St. Thomas, horseback riding in Yellowstone or laying on the beach in the Bahamas.
Survivors also include children: Stephanie (Dwayne) Jakub, Gillian (Vince and children, Colan and Alayna) Macias, and Barry (Shannon) Gaskill; grandchildren, Zoey and Beckett Gaskill; brothers, Rodney (Julie) and Glen (Vicki) Gaskill; sister, Joanne Gaskill; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Gaskill; and nephews, Brent and Brian Gaskill.
• Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, with a KOC Rosary at 6 p.m., all at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Hugoton.
Mass of Catholic Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2025 at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Hugoton, with Fr. Steven presiding.
Burial will take place at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton.
