ULYSSES – Carol D. Forsen, 83, died Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Western Prairie Senior Living Memory Care Unit in Ulysses.
She was born on February 7, 1942 to Lark and Mary (Ellis) Miller.
She married Robert “Bob” Forsen, Jr. March 12, 1981. He preceded her in death.
She worked as the deputy county treasurer for 29 years at the Grant County Courthouse.
She loved sewing and embroidered many baby quilts.
She also enjoyed tending to her flowers, yard work, reading, cooking and cleaning.
She was a member of Community Baptist Church in Ulysses.
Survivors include sons, David Smith and wife, Jane, Olathe, and Tony Forsen and wife, Becky, Holcomb; daughter, Rita Samuelson and husband, Stuart, Ravenna, Neb.; brothers: Steve, Jerry and Jay; sisters, Nora and Darlene; grandchildren: Ethan, Paige, Jacob, Braden, Megan, Larry, Abbey, Amanda and Jonathon; and great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; stepson, Bobby Forsen; stepdaughter, Linda Fewell; and sisters, Joan and Judy.
• Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2025 at Community Baptist Church in Ulysses with Reverend Jon Becker presiding.
The family will have a private burial at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses.
