Barbara Gatlin, 92, died Feb. 19, 2025 in Colorado City, Colo. after a short illness.

She was born July 25, 1933 in McPherson.

She married Paul Gatlin on July 19, 1952. They were married for 66 years,

She was active with Eastern Star and Rainbow Girls in Liberal, where she was Mother Advisor, Liberal Assembly #11 International Order of Rainbow for Girls.

Living in Liberal for a long period of time, she worked in several ladies dress and fashion shops.  

She was an avid collector of antiques and collectibles, and kept active buying and selling collectibles while running an antique shop.

She also also kept active in her church by singing in the choir and helping with children’s Bible school.

Survivors include three children: Linnette Talbott, Wichita, Marcy Duncan (Glenn), Edinburg, Texas, and Drew Gatlin (Mary) Walsenburg, Colo.; daughter-in-law, Becky Gatlin; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

o Funeral services took place Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025 at the Valley Community Church in Colorado City.

Burial took place in the LaVeta Community Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Compassus Hospice Home Care at 200 W. City Dr., Unit 303, Pueblo, CO 81003.
