Maria Isabel Macias De Maldonado, 67, died Sunday, March 23, 2025 at her home in Liberal.
She was born Sept. 30, 1957 to Rafael Macias Ramos and Celsa Caraveo Gonzalez.
She married Roberto Maldonado Villegas Jan. 16, 1971. He preceded her in death Jan. 29, 2025.
She had worked for USD 480 in Nutritional Services for 20 years, working at Liberal High School, South Middle School, and Bright Start.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, and Starbucks coffee.
She also looked forward to shopping, family gatherings and trips to Mexico.
Survivors include three sons: Jose (Marisol) Maldonado, Liberal, Roberto Carlos (Irene) Maldonado, Liberal, and Javier Andres (Lupe) Maldonado, Fort Worth, Texas; three daughters: Irene (Bruno) de Marquez, Mexico, Isabel (Nick) Perez, Liberal, and Celsa Gabriela (Gerardo) Perez, Liberal; brother, Rafael Macias, Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Adela Torres, Arlington, Texas, and Guadalupe Macias de Bustillos, Cd. Chauthtemoc, Chihuahua; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Matilde Macias, Cayetano Macias, Elias Macias, and Refugio Macias; sister, Concepcion Macias de Trevizo; and three grandchildren.
• Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2025, followed by a rosary service at the Miller Mortuary Chapel in Liberal.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at 1510 N. Calhoun Avenue in Liberal. Cremation will take place following the service.
