PLAINS – Terry Lynn Shelton, 60, died Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born Dec. 28, 1964 to Wayne and Theresa (Williams) Collins.
She married Mike E. Shelton Aug. 12, 1989. They later divorced.
She graduated from Sublette High School in 1983. She later graduated from Seward County Community College.
She worked as the safety director for Martin Trucking.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Hugoton, the Relay for Life, and the Girl Scouts.
She also enjoyed helping at the Dirtona Race Track and spending time with her family, friends.
Survivors include her parents; children, Mitchell Shelton and wife, Heidi, Stockton, and Katlynn Shelton and fiancé, Brandon Griep, Plains; brother, Darrell Collins and wife, Linda, Plains; four grandchildren: Gaven, Adyliegh, Sybil, and Jace; and an expected grandchild due in August.
• Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2025 at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade.
Burial will follow at the Plains Cemetery in Plains.

Memorials are suggested to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in care of the funeral home.
