Geraldine Rowden, 93, died Friday, May 3, 2024 at Pioneer Manor in Hugoton.

She was born July 8, 1930 to Dewey and Mildred (Burrows) Moser.

She graduated from Hugoton High School with flying colors, earning the title of class valedictorian.

She excelled as a switchboard operator for Southwestern Bell, demonstrating her dependability and dedication in all aspects of her life.

She had a passion for music and could often be found playing the piano. An interesting memory shared by those close to her is the time she missed the same note of the song "Pretty Shells," showcasing her whimsical and human side.

She also found joy in cooking and gardening.

Survivors include son, Guy Rowden; grandchildren: Jeremy Rowden and wife, Jennifer, nad Misty Rowden; great-grandchildren: Tyler, Cody, Amelia, and Lucas Rowden, and Hannah Sylestine; great-great-grandchild, Copelyn Sylestine; and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery Rowden; son, Jon Rowden; and three brothers: Ernest (Dutch) Moser, Jim Moser, and Earl Moser.

• Graveside services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2024 at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Robson Funeral Home in Hugoton.
