ELKHART – Quentin Lindahl Griffith, 69, died Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal. 

He was born Sept. 26, 1954 to C. Lyndon and Irene Gladys (Lindahl) Griffith.

He married Margaret “Maggie” Ann Dean June 15, 1990. She preceded him in death in 2023.

He graduated from Elkhart High School in 1973. While in high school, he belonged to the Spanish Club and many other organizations. He then attended various colleges including Kansas University and Kansas State University. 

He worked as a security guard and also for Colorado Interstate Gas at one of the compressor stations.  A highly intelligent individual, he invented and owned a patent for a Impact Sensing Vest.

Survivors include his sister, Catherine Ann Griffith, Vancouver, Wash.; niece, Cara Bailey and husband, Adam; nephew, Tim O’Neill and wife, Jill; and many other friends and family.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Clarence Griffith.

• A private family graveside service will take place in Amber, Okla. at a later date.
