A Liberal woman is dead following an accident late Monday morning in west Liberal.
Shortly before noon Monday, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling southbound on Western Avenue when it went left of center and failed to negotiate a curve.
KHP said the Cherokee left the roadway and overturned multiple times across the railroad tracks, coming to rest on the roof of the vehicle facing north in the westbound lane of U.S. Highway 54 just west of the Western Avenue/ Hwy. 54 intersection.
The driver, 33-year-old Adriana Rosales of Liberal, was taken to Southwest Medical Center where she died from a fatal injury. KHP said she was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident.
