Kansas Department of Transportation

According to the Kansas Department of Transportation, traffic changes will begin Monday, April 14, for a bridge replacement project approximately three miles west of the west K-23/K-156 junction in Finney County.

During construction, a shoo-fly detour will redirect traffic around the bridge construction. Reduced speed limits will be posted for the construction of the new bridge. Motorists should expect minimal delays at different times, and a width restriction of 12 feet will be in effect throughout the project.

L & M Contractors Inc., of Great Bend, is the contractor on this $2.4 million project that is expected to be completed by the beginning of December, weather permitting.
