Seward County Community College

Seward County Community College announced a $30,000 donation from the Saints Booster Club to the college’s Champions Fund, which provides scholarship support for student-athletes.

The donation marks a significant contribution to the ongoing efforts to strengthen SCCC’s athletic programs and ensure student-athletes have the resources they need to succeed both on and off the field.

“We’re very fortunate to have our Saints Booster Club,” SCCC President Brad Bennett said. “They do a great job supporting not only Saints athletics but the entire institution.”

The Saints Booster Club has raised funds through a variety of community-based efforts, including annual golf tournaments, memberships, raffles, and reserved parking sales.

“We’ve raised funds over the last few years,” Saints Booster Club President Kent Colvin said. “We felt now was the right time to give back to the Champions Fund. Sports are not just important to the college – they’re a vital part of the community.”

The Champions Fund plays a crucial role in helping SCCC recruit and retain talented athletes by reducing the financial barriers to higher education.
