Those possibly needing some future roofing work done now have a new option with Myers Roofing.
Owners Mark and Carrington Myers hosted a ribbon-cutting for the company at the Rock Island Depot last week, and both said they have been working on the company for a long time.
“We'd been talking about putting something like this together before we moved back to Liberal from Washington. We were business partners with some friends of ours there, and we'd been working in roofing for about five years with them, and we wanted to provide that same service to the people in Liberal for a good price,” Mark said.
“April 2025 was when we initially got all of our paperwork finished, and our first major outing was at Liberal's Night Out, where we had a booth. Betty [Symons] with the Chamber of Commerce had actually talked to us about all the benefits of being a Chamber member, so we did all of that work and officially became members about a month ago,” Carrington added. “Being business partners in Washington, we had the freedom to do what we wanted in terms of sponsorship and working and things like that. When we moved back to Liberal, we knew we enjoyed working and being business owners, so that's when we started really seriously talking. And we both knew we didn't want a regular 9 to 5 clock-in and clock-out job, so after lots of talking, we decided to go for it.”
Mark said there are many services the company offers for clients.
“We're certified in residential roofing and hoping to complete our commercial roofing certification stuff before too long,” Mark said. “We're a family-owned and operated business right now. We work on skylights and all sorts of roofing issues including shingles and everything else. We provide free estimates and do roof inspections.”
Carrington said she was very thankful for the turnout to the company’s ribbon-cutting.
“We're very thankful to everyone who showed up for the ribbon-cutting, it means so much to know we've got so much support already from not only our family and friends, but also many others in the community,” Carrington said. “They all took time to come and show us that support, and I can't give enough thanks for that.”
Both Myers agreed they are most excited about getting to know the community better.
“We have a lot of experience in the field, and in different climates. In Washington, it rains almost all the time, and that's something we dealt with a lot, and we can definitely put that experience to use in Liberal,” Carrington said. “Everything is currently being run out of our home in town, but we serve Liberal, the Oklahoma Panhandle and other towns in the surrounding area. If anyone needs anything from us, or if they have any questions, they can call (360) 775-5031 or email
“We can't wait to make everyone's acquaintance and help everyone who needs us, it's all about getting to know the town better,” Mark said.
