Liberal police are still looking for a local man wanted on multiple counts.
In a press release, Liberal Police Chief Chet Pinkston said Juan Ralios-Batz is wanted on three counts of rape of a child, one count of aggravated kidnapping, one count of aggravated human trafficking and one count of abuse of a child.
“While it is believed Batz fled to the Fremont, Neb., area to evade charges, public tips from the local community can continue assisting authorities in locating this individual,” Pinkston said. “The U.S. Marshal’s Service has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to his arrest.”
Pinkston said Batz is also known to use multiple aliases, including Juan Ralios, Juan Batz, Randy Guerro, Juan Ramos-Batz, Juan Ramos and Omar Gonzalez.
“He is a Hispanic male with a height of 5’1” and weighs approximately 115 pounds,” he said. “Batz has black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo of the letter ‘J’ on his right arm.”
Pinkston and Liberal Chief Communications Officer Keeley Young said the Liberal Police Department requested assistance in locating Batz earlier this year and has been fully cooperative with federal agencies working on this case.
“We are aware of sensationalized news stories circulating online which allege our mayor ordered officers not to cooperate with federal partners and can confirm such claims are absolutely false,” Young said in the press release. “The City of Liberal Police Department in no way withheld assistance from the U.S. Marshals or U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in locating Juan Ralios-Batz.”
