The Seward County Sheriff’s office joined law enforcement across the state during the Thanksgiving Safe Arrival campaign.

From Nov. 22 thorugh 29, deputies increased presence on local roads educating about the importance of seat belt use.

During the enforcement campaign, deputies made 231 enforcement stops.

• 36 seat belt and child restraint citations

• 3 DUI arrests

• 95 speeding citations

• 123 other citations and arrests

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, one of the safest choices drivers and passengers can do is to buckle up. Learn what you can do to make sure you and your family are buckled up every time.
