A Sublette pilot escaped injury after landing his plane on its belly Monday afternoon at the Liberal Mid-America Regional Airport.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported shortly after 1:30 p.m. Monday, a Cessna 210D came in for a landing at the airport, adding the pilot was unsure if the landing gear had been deployed.
KHP said the plane landed on its belly on the runway. The pilot, 20-year-old Braxon Blackwood of Sublette, suffered no apparent injury.
