No injuries resulted from a traffic accident Monday afternoon in Liberal, but one driver did receive a citation.
The Liberal Police Department issued a press release saying shortly before 1 p.m. Monday, officers and emergency personnel responded to a reported non-injury accident at the intersection of West Second Street and Lincoln Avenue.
“Through investigation, officers determined a red Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound on West Second Street,” the release said. “A black 2015 Chevrolet Camaro was stopped at the stop sign on Lincoln Avenue and failed to yield the right of way, pulling into the intersection and colliding with the Silverado.”
LPD said no injuries were reported on scene. The driver of the Camaro was cited for failure to yield the right of way at an intersection.
