Special to the Leader & Times
The International Pancake Day Board of Directors is thrilled to announce a historic first for the community. For the 2026 celebration, the annual Pancake Day Breakfast has been fully bought out by the Boot Hill Casino & Resort’s TRAIL program (Tourism, Redevelopment, Aid, Innovation, and Legacy) Program. Thanks to this incredibly gracious donation, the 2026 Pancake Day Breakfast will be completely free to the public.
This marks the first time in Pancake Day’s long history this tradition has been able to be offered at no cost to guests.
“Pancake Day is one of the region’s most iconic traditions, and we’re incredibly proud to support it through our TRAIL Program,” Ryan Deutsch, Boot Hill Casino General Manager, said. “TRAIL was created to invest in the experiences, events, and initiatives that strengthen our communities for generations to come. Helping make the Pancake Day Breakfast free to the public reflects our commitment to celebrating what makes this region special – its history, its people, and its spirit of coming together.”
The International Pancake Day Board extends its deepest gratitude to Boot Hill Casino & Resort. Their commitment to the TRAIL program perfectly aligns with the mission to celebrate community and tradition.
Everyone is invited to the Seward County Activity Center Tuesday, Feb. 17 for a stack of pancakes on the house.
