Businesses in two area communities will be shut down soon.

The Nutrition Cave in Liberal and Grand Avenue Market (GAM) in Plains both announced this week on Facebook they will be out of business likely by the end of March.

No official date was stated for the closing of the Nutrition Cave, but owner Cassie McNabb posted Wednesday she is shutting down the local business.

“It is with a heavy heart I announce the closing of the Nutrition Cave,” she said. “Thank you to everyone who has supported my business over the past few years. Your encouragement and loyalty have meant so much.”

McNabb said she will be having a sale on the remaining items in the shop.

“Feel free to stop by and check out the available discounts,” she said.

Grand Avenue Market officials said the Plains grocery store’s final day of business will be March 31.

“It is with deep sadness and regret we announce Grand Avenue Market will be closing,” a Facebook post from Community Enhancement Foundation of Plains board members and the GAM management team said. “After exhausting every possible option, we have come to the difficult realization we have no other choice. We are truly grateful to every customer who has walked through the doors. Your support, loyalty and kindness have meant more to us than we can express. You have been the heart of our store. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for allowing us to serve you and for being such an important part of the Grand Avenue Market family.”
