The Needles and Friends Quilting Guild is looking for candidates for Quilts of Valor for the upcoming Five State Free Fair.
The deadline to nominate is Friday, July 26, and the ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at the Seward County Fairgrounds.
Those who have a local veteran who would like to be honored in receiving a handmade quilt from Quilts of Valor can send his or her name, address and phone number to Mary Rose by calling 620-655-1678.
