Tri-County Electric Cooperative
In a remarkable show of community support, the Guymon Community Enrichment Foundation (GCEF) has received donations from the Tri-County Electric Cooperative’s Operation Round Up (ORU) foundation and the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives (OAEC).
This additional funding aims to provide critical assistance to residents impacted by the recent flood disaster in Texas County.
“It is our sincere hope this contribution will help families and rural communities dealing with devastating damages and losses in the aftermath of the flooding event,” stated OAEC General Manager, Chris Meyers.
Residents of the Goodwell, Guymon, and Hooker areas whose homes were affected by the flood can now apply for assistance. Applications are available for pickup and return at the following locations:
• City of Goodwell, 104 S Main Street, Goodwell, Okla.
• Guymon Chamber of Commerce, 206 NW Fifth Street, Suite 3, Guymon, Okla.
• City of Hooker, 111 S. Broadway Street, Hooker, Okla.
Zac Perkins, CEO of TCEC, believes that the most rewarding aspect of the ORU program is that it embodies the spirit of neighbor helping neighbor.
“Your contribution makes a difference. Even a small amount accumulates, enabling the ORU Foundation to assist our rural communities during critical times, such as the recent flooding,” Perkins said.
Those not yet enrolled to round up their bills are encouraged to call TCEC at 580-652-2418.
