While Republicans suffered through several stages of grief four years ago when Donald Trump was not re-elected, Democrats are now facing their own grief a month after losing control of the White House.

I’m not sure what stage they are in, but many have accepted the fact that Trump will be sworn in on Jan. 20, 2025.

There are still holdouts. Some still believe that the House of Representatives will invoke the 14th Amendment and disqualify Trump. Not only are they completely wrong on the law and the language of the 14th Amendment when refering to those who participate in an insurrection, but Democrats don’t have the numbers to try to undermine the election of the American people.

Take a stroll through X (formerly known as Twitter) and this hope still springs eternal in some far left circles and even among some lawmakers like Democrat Jamie Raskin. The worst part about this lie is that many Democrats believe it, and instead of Raskin coming forward and telling his followers that Trump will become president, he is leaving them to wave in the wind.

Raskin went so far as to say it may lead to civil war, but, oh well.

One party is so determined to hold on to power that they are encouraging civil war rather than accept the will of both the Electoral College and the popular vote.

But those who have accepted the results but are still in disbelief have resorted to the age-old reasons for everything — misogyny and racism.

Is it true that there were some people that did not vote fro Kamala Harris because of the color of her skin? Is it possible that some people did not vote for Harris because she is a woman.

Of course that’s true. While I’d like to say there is no racism in any form whatsoever in this nation, that would be a lie.

But I would also pose the question, did some people vote for Harris because of the color of her skin? Did some people vote for Harris because she is a woman.

The answer to that question is also yes.

While talk show hosts like Sunny Holstin could not come up with any concrete reasons on how Harris would be different than failed president Joe Biden, she had two very good reasons for voting for Harris — her race and her sex.

Holstin’s vote was based on racism and sexism.

For some like Holstin and millions like her, they believe identity is more important than policy. They believe that personality outweighs the economy.

America will one day have a Black woman as president, I have no doubt about it.

But Al Sharpton’s race-baiting excuse that America just wasn’t ready for one is garbage.

If Condoleeza Rice was on the ballot, I would have voted for her. If Winsome Sears was eligible for the presidency, I would love to see her serve. Unfortunately, she was not born in the United States and doesn’t meet the criteria.

As far as other women, if Sarah Huckabee-Sanders ran, I’m all in.

And there are countless others.

But if I were to vote for them simply because of the color of their skin or their sex, I would be practicing racism and sexism.

The whole point of the Equal Rights movement was the right to be treated equally, not favorably. The whole point of the civil rights movement was to end discrimination, not to reverse it.

Those who said Harris ran a perfect campaign are simply ignoring reality. Telling Holstin she couldn’t think of anything she would do differently was a mistake. Not going on Joe Rogan’s podcast was a mistake.

Claiming Bidenomics was working was a mistake.

According to Gallup, no party in power ever won with the numbers where they were with the Biden Administration.

But a large swath of Democrats believed votes should be based on color. To them, anyone who votes for the white guy is a racist.

All of these people ignore that Trump gained among every minority in America.

Joy Reid blamed white women for Harris’ loss, claiming black women delivered, even though black women only make up 6.5 percent of the population.

But white woman should be scorned and shamed.

Even the white woke who believe in farcical programs like Critical Race theory also blamed anyone who would vote because of the price of eggs rather than believe their lies that Trump is Hitler and therefore Harris is the preferred candidate.

They are deep thinkers, they say, but Trump voters are racist yokels because they did not use race as a reason to vote for Trump.

The fact is if people did not use race as a reason for how they voted, Trump’s victory would have been much larger.

The new racism is actually not supporting minority candidates over any white challenger because they are a minority. Voting on colorblind policy is now racist.
