The Seymour Rogers cross country teams did extremely well on Tuesday in Ulysses. The boys’ seventh and eighth team and the girls’ seventh and eighth team had a combined score and placement in the two-mile course. 

The Ulysses Cross Country meet had a field of 105 boys. The Apache boys placed ninth in the team standings and were led by Chance Macy who placed 34th with a time of 15:28.

Macy was closely followed by Jaxon Schwindt in 37th with a time of 15:44. Next up was Alexander Lux with a time of 16:43. Leo Castillo finished next for the Apaches with a time of 17:38 and on his heels was Joel Nevarez at 18:07.

Dylan Cerda ran a time of 19:50, Luis Mejia at 20:56, Callen Bridenstine at 22:56 and Cephas Eidson at 25:46.

The Apache girls placed third as a team, succumbing to Dodge City in first and Scott City in second.  The Apache girls brought home a total of four medals.

Kamil Huerta led the girls team with a time of 16:47 placing seventh in the seventh grade race, Yazline Medina followed closely with a time of 16:49 while placing eighth, Ava Limbocker came in at 17:22 and placed 15th in the eighth grade race, and the last girl medaling was Raquel Diego in 13th place in the seventh grade race with a time of 17:34. 

Magali Romo had a time of 18:04, Evy Martinez finished at 19:31, Kaylene Robertson finsihed at 19:38.73, and Liliana Zamora at 19:38.87 was next by a fraction.

Kim Gonzalez was next with a time of 19:55, Alexandria Bourell came in at 19:59, Francelly Villa finished at 22:20, Jazmin Portillo turned in a time of  22:31, Mildred Aguirre finished at 22:44, Summer Gallegos came in at 25:12 and Bridgette Rendon came in at 29:10.
