L&T staff report

The Redskins faced two teams in the Kansas City area over the weekend and dropped both games.

Liberal fell to Blue Valley 1-0 with the lone gaol coming after a hand ball in the Liberal box led to a penalty kick.

Liberal then faced Olathe East and allowed two goals in a game for only the second time all season and fell 2-1. Chavira scored Liberal’s lone goal midway through the second half, but the Redskins couldn’t get the tie.

Liberal (10-3-1) will host Great Bend (2-12) today and will travel to Dodge City to face the undefeated Red Demons Thursday.

Liberal is currently the fourth seed in the West Division of Class 6A.
