After an impressive 6-0 win over Great Bend Tuesday, the Redskins traveled to Dodge City to face the undefeated Red demons, and after taking an early 1-0 lead off a Suain Moncayo goal, the offense couldn’t get another ball in the net and fell 4-1.

Dodge City ties the game midway through the first half and took a 2-1 lead at the break.

Dodge City added two more goals in the final five minutes after a penalty kick allowed the Red Demons to take a 3-1 lead and a final goal pushed the score to 4-1.

Despite the loss, Liberal still maintained the fourth seed in the Class 6A West Division. The top four seeds are: 1. Dodge City (16-0-0), 2. Wichita Southeast (15-0-1), 3.   Topeka Washburn Rural (11-2-3) and 4. Liberal (11-4-1).

The Redskins will host a playoff game with the likely opponent being 13-seed Wichita Northwest (6-10-0).

If the Redskins win they will host the regional championship on Halloween against the winner of 5. Topeka (10-5-0) vs. 12. Campus.
