After winning at home on Homecoming night Tuesday, the Lady Redskins played in a road Homecoming game Friday against Great Bend and came away with a 67-40 win.

The Lady Redskins jumped out to a 29-10 lead after the first quarter and 45-23 at half.

The Lady Redskins moved to 11-5 on the season and 4-1 in the Western Athletic Conference after completing the sweep over the Lady Panthers.

Shamari Lewis led Liberal with 17 points, and Kylie Rhine had 14.

The Redskins couldn’t get their first WAC win of the season after a 78-41 loss to the Panthers.

Great Bend jumped out early with a 36-5 advantage, and the Redskins trailed 46-22 at half.

Great Bend enacted the running clock in the fourth quarter and cruised to the 78-41 win.

Because of the threat of weather, the Lady Redskins host Lakin beginning at 4 p.m. tonight. Liberal travels to Hays Friday for their final road game of the regular season.
