Seward Lady Saint coach Will Marchino expected a tough challenge in Barton, and in the first quarter Seward appeared to be on the road to being blow out.

But the Lady Saints rallied to come away with a 65-57 win.

Barton jumped out to a 16-4 lead after the first quarter before the Lady Saints started to chip away at the Lady Cougar lead.

By halftime, the Lady Saints closed the gap from 12 to five but still trailed 28-23.

The Lady Saints took the lead in the third quarter and continued to maintain an advantage in the fourth quarter for the 65-57 win.

Ari Gordon led the Lady Saints with 15 points.

Allie Myers and Avery Marchino each had 11 in the come-from-behind win.

The Lady Saints were outshot 38 percent to 43 percent, but the won the turnover battle by forcing 23 while committing 13.
