The Lady Redskin wrestling team competed at the Class 6A West Regional Friday and Saturday and qualified several for the Class 6A State Wrestling Tournament.
Hayleen Martinez (31-0) led the way for Liberal by winning the Regional championship in the 190-pound weight class.
Keirsie Carlile took second in the 100-pound weight class, and Isabela Gutierrez (110-pound weight class) and Aileen Figueroa (235-pound weight class) each placed third.
Genesis Orrantia (105-pound weight class) and Evelyn Sandoval (155-pound weight class) finished fourth. Georgina Dominguez (125-pound weight class) and Nicole Catalan (140-pound weight class) each qualified at eighth place.
