Liberal Wrestling Club traveled to Hugoton for the H-Town Throwdown Wrestling tournament Saturday, Feb, 22. Liberal took a big group and performed very well at the tournament.
Three members from the club received an award for the Most Outstanding Wrestler of their age group.
For 10U girls, Sofia Torres received the award with first place and three pins.
Jacobie Fraire received the award for the 10U boys with first place and four pins.
Taking the award for 14U girls was Haley Zabel, who placed first with two pins. Zabel also took second in the 12U girls division.
“These three wrestlers worked very hard and deserved these awards! I am so happy for their accomplishments!” Liberal Wrestling Club coach Krista Holcomb said.
