The girls tennis team competed in the Garden City Invitational tennis tournament and finished fourth overall.
Individual placers include:
No. 1 Singles - Evelin Tarango went 3-1 taking second
No. 2 Singles - Isabella Rodriguez Diaz would finish 3-1
No. 1 Doubles - Lynette Alonso and Giselle Mesta went 3-1 taking second
No. 2 Doubles - Maliha Navarro and Yvanna Rivera would finish 3-2
“The girls played awesome,” Liberal coach Sergio Borjas said. “They showed up great against WAC opponents, and showed how strong of a team we are. They left the tournament with strong confidence and excited to get back to work.”
Liberal will host WAC Saturday at Hank Rowley Blue Bonnet Tennis Complex, and first serve starts at 10 a.m.
