The Lady Saints moved to 8-3 overall, 3-2 in the Jayhawk Conference after a 71-62 win.

The Lady Saints trailed early 21-16 at the end of the first quarter, but the Lady Saints picked up the pace in the second quarter and outscored the Lady Beavers 25-11 in the period to take a 41-33 lead.

The Lady Beavers applied tough defense in the third quarter and held the Lady Saints to only 13 points and trimmed the Seward lead to 54-48.

But the Lady Saints were able to pick up the defensive pressure in the final period to secure the 71-62 win.

Avery Marchino led the Lady Saints with 19 points, and A’Neya Chambers came off the bench to score 17 points. Destiny Alexander added 12. Seward hosted Fort Hays Tech Saturday.
