NORTH PLATTE, Neb. – Seward County volleyball fell 3-0 to North Platte Community College, the tournament host, on Saturday afternoon at McDonald-Belton Gymnasium.

Seward (2-2) fell 19-25, 14-25 and 23-25 in their final match of the opening week tournament. The Saints exit the tournament with wins over Gillette and Southeast and losses to McCook and North Platte. The Lady Saints will now look to Friday when they take on Polk State and Dallas College Richland as part of the Wrangler/Ranger Roundup Tournament at Cisco College.

Luisa Berganitini led Seward with 15 kills on .433 hitting. Deniz Ucar added seven kills and a team-high nine digs. Lilou Grymonpre chipped in six kills on .308 hitting.

Seward played the Knights close in the first and third sets but NPCC ran away with a 25-14 score in the second set.
