Glenda Kay Nelson, 85, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2024.
She was born December 4, 1938 to Glenn Kenneth and Margueritte Lucille(Simmons) Dowling.
She graduated from Dodge City High School.
She married Robert Duane Nelson Dec. 29, 1956. He preceded her in death.
She enjoyed playing cards at the senior center, shopping, and enjoying garage sales, activities that kept her engaged and active in the community. Her personality shone through her love for her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include four children: Leanne Underwood, Janet Orrell, Brett Nelson, and Bill Nelson and wife, Jackie; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Edward and Ronnie.
• Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024 at the First Christian Church in Garden City.
A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Copeland Cemetery in Copeland.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024 at Robson Funeral Home in Garden City. Friends may also call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2024 at the funeral home.
