Darrell Eugene Sager, 67, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025 at Wheatridge Care Park Center in Liberal.
He was born March 22, 1957 to Eugene and Shirley (Lundblade) Sager.
He married Judith “Judy” Foulke Nov. 4, 1978. She preceded him in death Nov. 22, 2016.
In 1985, the couple moved to Liberal, where Darrell worked as a truck driver for many years, hauling crude oil. His love for the open road was rivaled only by his passion for collecting model trains and trucks.
Survivors include his brother, Charles Sager and wife, Lila; sister, Susie Heslop and husband, Martin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
• A private memorial service to celebrate Darrell’s life will take place at a later date.
