ULYSSES – Ruby Maxine (Swain) Russell, 86, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2025, at her home in Ulysses.
She was born April 16, 1938 to Millard and Geneiva (Coffey) Swain.
She married Wayne Eugene (Gene) Salem July 19, 1953. He preceded her in death Nov. 1, 1981.
She later married Charles Russell. He preceded her in death.
She owned and operated Ruby’s Florals in Port Aranas, Texas.
She enjoyed fishing and ran a charter boat for fishing trips.
When she had time, she enjoyed making crafts.
Survivors include son, Danny Salem and wife, Janice, Ulysses; daughters, Cindy Daniel and husband, Tom, Ford, and Deb Shaw, Farmington, Mo.; brothers: Jerry Swain, Garland, Texas, Wayne Swain, Garland, Texas, and David Swain, California; 48 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and her fur baby, Cuddles.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Darrell Salem; three sisters: Ann, Thalia and Sherry; and three brothers, Harold, Dennis and Larry.
