Malvin Love, 70, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025.

He was born July 5, 1954 to George and Victoria Norah Love.

He married Shirley Ross in 1984.

He graduated from Liberal High School in 1972.

He started working at Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company at 17, and he later retired after 41 years as a maintenance mechanic.

He was an exceptional pillar of the community known by many and always went out of his way to help others. He cherished his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include aughters: Rashida Ross and Linda Love, and Teanna Bond; grandchildren: Quincy Galbert, Tobias Love, Aniya Ash, Maliyah and Mikaila Jackson, Shaquill Bond, Axen Carpenter; siblings: Larvell Love (Alice), Arnell Love, Lori Mason (Mike), Susie Love, Irvin Love, Darlene Randel (George), Verdale King (James), and Richard Livingston (Tanika); and great-grandson, Khysen Bond.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Love; ex-wife, Shirley Love; and grandson, Alvin Ross.

• Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2025 at South Church of God in Liberal.

Burial will follow at the Liberal City Cemetery in Liberal.

Friends may call from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025 at Miller Mortuary in Liberal.
