Dennis Neifert, 64, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2025 at his home.  He was born March 10, 1960 to Keith and Audrey (Porter) Neifert.

He married Carrie Booth Jan. 12, 2019. She survives.

He was a graduate of Waconda East High School near Glen Elder with the Class of 1978.

He worked for more than 20 years with Haliburton and later became a consultant.

He enjoyed traveling over the open road, watching old John Wayne movies, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and caring for his dogs.

He had been studying with the Jehovah's Witnesses and looked forward to one day sharing the word of God and teachings of Jesus with others.

Survivors also include daughters, Karrie Riddles (Cody), and Shannon Neifert; sister-in-law, Kim Neifert; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Janila Smith and Wanda Dunn; and brother, David Neifert.

• There will be no public viewing, and cremation has taken place per Dennis' wishes.
