Douglas Omar Bell, 82, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025 in Shawnee Mission.
He was born March 9, 1942 to William and Mary (Cadman) Bell.
He married Patricia Lee Jones Feb. 13, 1969. She survives.
His family remained his top priority throughout his life, and he took great joy in watching them participate in various sports, as well as supporting his beloved University of Kansas basketball team.
Survivors also include his children: Misty Slemp and husband, Kevin, Billy Bell and wife, Stephanie, Tracy Willis and husband, Brian, and Jamie Bell and wife, Reva; brother, Jim Bell and wife, Lorene, Moscow; four sisters: Helen Felizen, Karen Ashbaugh, Kay Thompson and husband, Dick, and Rhonda Fondable and husband, Glen, Ellis; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Jack Bell, Mildred Cassidy, Dorothy Ladnier, and Alley Bell; great-granddaughter, Maggie Dahn Phillips; and nephew, Joshua Barker.
• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2025 at Moscow Christian Fellowship Church, with Pastor Patty Lahey presiding.
Burial will follow at the Moscow Cemetery in Moscow.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025 at Robson Funeral Home in Hugoton.
