Leonor Garcia Noblejas, 82, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025.

She was born April 11, 1942, in Tanauan, Batangas, Philippines, to Francisco Burgos Garcia and Isabel Castillo Garcia.

She attended St Theresa’s College in Manila before she and her husband, Oscar, immigrated to the United States in 1966. Later, she earned her MBA from Strayer University in Washington, DC.

While her children were growing up, she held many different leadership and professional roles. Her favorite was working as a travel agent as she was able to experience and share the various cultures of the most exotic locations.

She taught catechism to second and third graders at churches in Virginia and San Diego. She was a prayer warrior for family, friends, and even traumatized clients of her psychologist daughter.

She cherished time with her daughters and their families. She also pampered the family dogs, Misha and Potato.

She loved quoting Shakespeare and was a master at crossword puzzles and Wordle at age 82.

She meticulously cared for her plants, nurturing orchids, peace lilies, honeysuckle, banjo, and corn plants. She also enjoyed yoga and eating food from all cuisines.

Survivors include her daughters, Maria Lauralynn Noblejas and husband, John Randell Moore, and Michelle Noblejas-Bartolomei and her husband Rico Bartolomei; siblings: Frances Garcia Sauvé and husband, Mark Sauvé, Beth Garcia Rabuy, and Johnny Garcia; and grandchildren: Dylan Noblejas Bartolomei, Cassidy Noblejas Bartolomei, Alannah Carmela Bartolomei, Barrett Antonio Bartolomei, and Catalina Solange Bartolomei.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oscar De Leon H. Noblejas; and son, Antonio Francisco Garcia Noblejas.

o Prayer of the rosary and viewing will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at 1510 N. Calhoun Avenue in Liberal.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2025 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal, with Reverend Charles Seiwert presiding. The mass will also be livestreamed on the Hornung Funeral Home Facebook page.

Another mass will be at St. Anthony’s Church in Falls Church, Va. at a later date.

Burial will take place at Columbia Gardens in Arlington, Va. at a later date.
