Augustus James "Gus" Riley, 16, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025.
He was born Aug. 25, 2008 to David and Heidi (Rhine) Riley.
He was a sophomore at Liberal High School where he excelled in the classroom with many academic achievements.
He was an avid gamer, adventurous, loved animals, exploring, and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed snowboarding, fishing, deer hunting and water sports.
He also enjoyed restoring and working on cars; his current project was a 76' Chevy C10 truck.
Survivors include his parents; brother, Jackson David Riley; and grandparents: Leo and Linda Riley, and Lory Rhine.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Roger Rhine.
• There will be no public viewing.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025 at First Southern Baptist Church in Liberal, with Todd Brown presiding.
Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
