David Lloyd Helget, 84, died Saturday, April 26, 2025 in Hugoton.
He was born June 9, 1940 to Peter and Mary (Earl) Helget.
He married Elsie Mae Lawrence June 9, 1940. She survives.
David's professional journey began when he moved to Hugoton in 1959. He initially worked for Buell Snyder TV repair service for several years before joining the Hugoton School District as a custodian. He later advanced to the position of Auto-Visual Technician, where he dedicated 14 years of service.
Following this, he spent 23 years working for Northern Natural Gas, and after retiring, he continued to work with Handcock Electric.
Survivors also include daughters, Melinda Helget and Stacy Helget; sister, Joyce Roberts and husband, Carl; three grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2025 at the Assembly of God Church, followed by burial at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton.
