Marla Christine "Chris" Smith, 70, died Sunday, April 27, 2025 in Pierceville.
She was born Feb. 20, 1955 to Glen and Mary (Waldrip) Brownlee.
She worked for many years in respiratory therapy, and later in her career, she worked in a sleep lab as a technician.
She enjoyed attending and cheering for her grandchildren at their various sports events.
She was an enthusiastic supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, and the University of Kansas Jayhawks. Each year, she also eagerly anticipated the thrill of NASCAR races.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Smith; daughter, Holly Rohling and her husband, Ryan; son, Ryan Henneberg and his wife, Brenda; sisters, Jean Sporleder and husband, Roger, and Joyce Trettenero and husband, Jim; brothers, Larry Brownlee and wife, Sue, and Jimmy Brownlee and wife, Shirley; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Janet Kirchner; and great-grandchild, Gabriel Kenton Cedillo-Caswell.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2025 at Deerfield Methodist Church in Deerfield.
Burial will follow at Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield.
