Jerry Leroy Wright, 93, died Feb. 22, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas

He was born Nov. 17, 1931 in Moscow.

Initially starting in the U.S. Air Force, he spent the majority of his military career in the Army, achieving the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3 in Military Intelligence before retiring.

After retiring, he received a master's degree in library science. He started a new career with the US Postal Service until he retired again.

He enjoyed NASCAR, bowling, and working in his yard.

Survivors include his wife, Regine Wright; four sons: James "Jim" Wright, John Wright, Jay Wright, and Erik Wright; grandchildren: Mike Yolanda, Nikki, and David; great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Truly, Sadie, Miles, and Tyla; and many other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ingrid; brother, James Wright; and four sisters: Mary Bell Thompson, Faye Pearce, Nell Fox, and Nina Smith.

• Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Moscow Cemetery in Moscow, with military honors from the Fort Riley Army Base.
