ULYSSES – Tamara “Tami” Lynn Rundell, 56, died Thursday, June 5, 2025 in Grant County. 

She was born Feb. 12, 1969 to Arnold and Linda (Batman) Alexander. 

She graduated from Ulysses High School and later pursued her passion for healing and wellness by becoming a certified massage therapist.

She married Albert Jay “Gus” Rundell August 10, 1990. He preceded her in death in 2004.

She was a source of strength, compassion and laughter to all who knew her.

Since 2007, she was employed with S&K Enterprises.

Survivors include her mother; children: Daniel Alexander and wife, Caitlin, Amanda Swimm and husband, Ryan, Lacy Rundell and Travis Laurie, Katherine Rundell, Heather Rundell, Rachel Rundell, Sarah Rundell, and Cindy Flores and husband, Isiah; brother, Mark Alexander; sisters, Julie Schulze and husband, Rick, and Cindy Rushing and husband, Paul; and eight grandchildren: Gabriel, Michael, Joanna and Lilly Alexander, Xander Swimm, and Travis Jr., Lydia and Gideon Laurie.

She was also preceded in death by her father; brother, Steve Alexander; and sister, Sherri Alexander.

• Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at the Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses, with Reverend Kelly Johnson presiding.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Garden City. 

Memorials are suggested to the Tami Rundell Memorial Fund or the Cub Scouts of America, Troop #186 in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
