Judith Kaye Harrel Scranton, 82, died Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Homestead Estates Home Plus.
She was born March 11, 1943 to Leonard "Buck" and Billie (Bryant) Harrel.
She graduated from Liberal High School with the Class of 1960. Following that, she completed a semester at Fort Hays State University.
She married married Beryl Scranton May 10, 1961. He survives.
She worked at Universal CIT, El Kan Drug for several years, billing clerk at Dr. Reese's office, Midwestern Drilling Company, Dr. Jim Parson's Eye Clinic, Dr. Dennis Knudsen's OB Clinic, and then later retired as a para at South Middle School.
Survivors also include daughters, Sheri (Jack) McDowell, Farmington, N.M., and Stacey (Scott) Sandell, Liberal; and grandsons, Dylan (Morgan) Sandell, Kansas City, Mo., and Hunter Sandell, Liberal.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
• Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the Miller Mortuary Chapel in Liberal.
Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
