Sybil Zoe Wagner, 80, died Monday, June 23, 2025 in Wichita.

She was born Feb. 2, 1945to Harold and Wanda (Shank) Greenwald.

She married Stanley Wagner Sept. 24, 1968. He preceded her in death.

She graduated from Hutchinson High School. She later graduated from the Liberal School of Hairdressing and worked for Eulila Douglas.

She later became a certified dietary manager and worked for USD 480 for 20 years as an official secretary for the lunch program.

She worked for 15 years for Seward County Community College as a hospitality cook and at the bookstore.

She was a sponsor of the Skills USA, taking seven teams to Nationals in Kansas City.

She loved flower arranging, painting, sewing, crafting, reading, traveling, and water skiing.

She was a Girl Scout Leader, 4-H Community Leader, and Sunday School Teacher.

She loved Mission Travel and was a member of Special Olympics.

She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Survivors include daughters, Cathi Crosier and husband, Jim, and Michelle Wagner; brother, Greg Greenwald; grandchildren: Haley Lawson and husband, MJ, Kinsi Graham, Caleb Crosier-Torrez and husband, Javier, Lexi Avila and husband, Alejandro, and Bayli Crosier; and five great-grandchildren: Weston Graham, Arabella Avila, Kaiya Lawson, Reign Avila, Leo Maska.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kimberly Wagner; sisters-in-law, Norma Wagner, and Maryalice Futrell; and brother-in-law, Earshel Futrell.

• Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Emanuel Southern Baptist Church at 1550 N. Western Avenue in Liberal, with Pastor Kade Carpenter presiding.

Burial will follow at the Liberal City Cemetery in Liberal.
