Elmer Franklin Harris, 91, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025 at the Wheatridge Park Care Center.
He was born Feb. 20, 1934 to William and Macie (Ingerham) Harris.
He married Patricia Beason Sept. 11, 1954. She preceded him in death Feb. 7, 2004.
He started working as an Inspector for Beechcraft in 1965. In 1985, he was transferred to Wichita, where he continued to work for Beechcraft until his retirement Feb. 28, 1996.
He was a member of South Church of God, AFL-CIO Union, Beech Employee Club, Moose Lodge-Wichita.
Survivors include daughters, Patricia Volden (Robert), Liberal, and Lura Jane Wheat (Cynthia Walton), Amarillo, Texas; sons, Eugene Bolton (Selby Kay), Oklahoma City, and Bill Harris, Olathe; sister, Carolyn Granite, Liberal; brother, Calvin Harris, Liberal; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Howard Harris and Charles Harris; three sisters: Aileen Winkler, Betty Winkler-Taylor, and Helen Walker; one granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren.
• Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2025 at the South Church of God in Liberal, with Jim Garcia presiding.
Burial will take place at Restlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025 at Miller Mortuary in Liberal.
