My deepest condolences to Alice and the rest of the family.
Mr. Chain, more than anyone, elicited in me a love for our constitution that sought to embody and progressively realize the Judeo-Christian and classical liberal ideals of the American founding. His course prompted me to study political & legal philosophy and constitutional law at university - to and maintain at least an armchair interest in current events as viewed through this lens ever since.
I am forever grateful for the way in which Mr. Chain’s instruction influenced and grew my thinking toward a more considered and full life.
