Manuel Duran-Hernandez, 62, died Friday, April 19, 2024 at his home in Liberal.

He was born Jan. 11, 1962 to Jesus Duran and Aurora Hernandez.

He was an over the road truck driver for many years. He was a good friend and always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends and family.

He was a very good cook and cooked all kinds of food. He was always very nicely dressed, most often in a suit, and was known for being a ladies’ man.

Survivors include eight brothers: Florentino, Jesus Ubaldo, Martin, Jaime, Dolores, Juan Carlos, Ramon, and Jose Ines; four sisters: Aurora, Manuela, Lorenza, and Rosa Maria; and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Rosalia and her husband, Valentin Rey.

• Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Hornung Family Funeral Home at 1212 W. 2nd Street in Liberal.

Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2024 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at 1510 N. Calhoun Avenue in Liberal.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2024 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal, with Reverend Charles Seiwert presiding.

Burial will follow at the Liberal City Cemetery in Liberal.
