ULYSSES – Homero D. Baeza, 47, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025 at Stanton County Hospital in Johnson.

He was born April 20, 1978 to Rumaldo Sanchez Baeza and Maria Baeza.

He met Natalie Alaniz Dec. 17, 2020. She was the love of his life.

He was employed with Smyth Oil and Gas.

Outside of work, he enjoyed shooting his rifle, spending time with family, and watching football. He was a very loyal fan of the San Francisco 49ers.

Survivors include his mother; his partner, Natalie Alaniz; daughters, Haley Baeza and Kimberlie Baeza; sons: Ethan Baeza, Fabian Baeza and Homero Jr Baeza; sisters: Maggie Burke, Belem Rey, and Lilli Vera; brothers: Juan Baeza, Samuel Baeza, Herman Baeza; granddaughter, Kehlani Baeza, and one grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death by his father.

• Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a service starting at 5 p.m. at Garnand Funeral Home at 405 W. Grant Avenue in Ulysses.
